William “Bill” Joseph McCarthy III of Cranford, NJ, formerly of Clark NJ, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones after a prolonged illness at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. A loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend; who welcomed anyone to his table with open arms and a glass of whiskey. An avid griller, Bill could often be found in his backyard surrounded by family and whatever he wanted to throw on the smoker that day. A plumber by trade, Bill is remembered as someone who was always there with a helping hand and a 6 pack of beer.
